I went to Burning Man this year for the very first time, and as a photographer, I was left wondering what took me so long. In deciding to go this year, one of my primary goals was to see art, be fully in the experience, and yes, do some photos, but I only brought my snapshot camera out to the Playa. It was perfect shoot-from-the-hip kind of fun, and I did do 3 days of portraits (in my portrait gallery) but these are my top picks from the snapshots. This was by far the most powerful aand transformative adventure I have ever been on in my life, and although I originally said I only needed to go one year, I will do everything in my power to go back again and again. It was moving, and rich, spiritual and the most creative place I have ever been, witnessed, felt. Hopefully next year, I will bring a more powerful camera out there and attempt to do it some justice...which I think is even a far fetched goal, but I'll try!
