It has always been one of my biggest career goals, to be in print, with a personal creative project. I collect magazines, I absolutely love the tangible quality of print, and although I have had some work published in the past, it was never a full spread for a personal project. I always thought it would take me so long to get near my goal...but apparently it was time to jump in, ready or not! This summer, a colleague/fellow photographer, Dan Jahn, invited me to publish this fall in his magazine, Frenzy, which is based on Fashion, Design, Art, Beauty, and Photography. I would be honored! So...the love project began, and it has been an incredible learning experience on so many levels, personally and photographically. I honestly think it's just the beginning of something greater because although the final images in the magazine are definitely some of my favorites, they don't fully represent the full breadth, detail, or completeness of everyone who participated. This project has already brought me so much inspiration about love itself, and made me work harder to be a better photographer...so I have decided to extend the project beyond the magazine publication...stay tuned for more details!

I have to thank all of the beautiful people that participated in the project, because they gave their time, energy, creativity, and hearts to make each shoot something unique and beautiful. I asked everyone participating to tell me what it is in their experience that enables them to love fully, whether that be themselves or other people in their lives. I didn't distinctly photograph couples, but individuals, families and friends. It was so beautiful to see each person come forward with different thoughts and words about their experience, which all were integrated in to each shoot. It was when I realized the limitless amount of words coming my way that it really started to take on that same limitless quality of love, which is another reason I am continuing...

I was deeply inspired throughout, and still am by the energy and warmth in each shoot, so I am looking forward to more! I would love your participation, feel free to contact me. And to those who will appear in Frenzy, THANK YOU Lui, Brooke, Brad, Justin, Staci, Colin, Cammy, Daryl, Kaizen, Paris, Carla, Gwin, Angela, Terri, Virginia, Cameron, Patrick, Linda, Charlie, Sage, Mary & Eric. You guys are an inspiration and I am so very grateful for each one of you!

You can download a free copy of Frenzy Magazine here, or if you want a printed copy, they are on sale through Mag Cloud for $18, through the same link as above. Frenzy thanks you for your purchase, and I thank you for your interest!

Much LOVE!

It taught me to pull the knowing from deep inside of myself, that I can create ANYTHING I want to create, and so can you. I also have the power to let go of anything in my life that doesn't serve my highest good. It taught me that I can be ANYTHING I want to be, and that there is no better time than now to BE that, and stop talking about life as if it were going to happen in the future. We are powerful beyond measure, and our spirits will be our guides, if we are open to letting them navigate. Burning Man opened me up to such a more authentic part of my spirit, so I hope to go every year, and pass on some of what I learn each time to the people I love and whoever is open to listening and seeing.

Photographically, my focus was portraits of my camp mates, which are in the portrait galleries (2). But the more free-spirited part of my experience involved my snapshot camera tied on to my belt at all times, and I would snap as I walked, danced or rode my bike around the Playa. I took about 700 snapshots, but here are 30 of my favorite shots.

Out of the experience described above, I am also on a path to share so much more photography on my blog and website, that I have never shared before, out of "lack of time", laziness, insecurity and procrastination, all things that can kill my creativity and inspiration. So I am pulling loads of images out of the vaults, and bringing them to light to share with you all :) Stay tuned for more travel and adventure galleries: Norway, Costa Rica, Guatemala and more...
