Through photography, it is my goal to document simple beauty and someone's true essence by allowing whats authentic to occur naturally and effortlessly. I am a big believer in the beauty of natural light, because it can have such a luminous quality, one that is soft and sweet, creating an aura within a photograph. I strive to create magic in my imagery through the use of luminous light, vibrant color, photographic technique, and most importantly, connecting to the spirit and creativity of each person, place or thing I am photographing. When a genuine connection occurs, that's when the fun begins... 

I have had a camera in my hands since I was 10 years old, so documenting life has become second nature.  I believe that the way we all chose to create things in our lives, we also choose the way we perceive them.  Photography is just one of the ways I express how I see the brighter side of the world around me...full of color and life. Sometimes it is snapshots of spontaneous fun, and sometimes it is documenting someone's most cherished day, with genuine care and love. I am passionate about all of it and I am always striving to be a better photographer, build relationships, and give people the gift of lasting imagery.

I was born and raised in Colorado,  have a love affair with California, and traveling is one of my biggest passions. I was blessed to have shown my work abroad in Chile, Mexico &  Spain, and traveled there with an art group just after getting my BFA in Photography in 1998. I have also traveled for projects to Costa Rica, and Guatemala, Grand Cayman and Norway (my roots!).

I currently shoot with a Canon 7D for most portraits and ocassionally a Hasselblad 501C for fine at work.
